Step into a 3-day retreat of connection through body and spirit. Yoga and Shamanism nestled in the sacred old growth forest of Breitenbush Hot Springs will invite openness, clarity and healing. Tanya will be leading yoga 2x a day to fortify, relax and ground the body in preparation for receiving the healing powers of Shamanism. Every shamanic journey is unique to each individual. Tanya will be using drums, rattles, crystal healing bowls, voice, among other instruments, to invite a conversation with the spirit world as we journey together. Step into a deeper intimacy within yourself as we move, meditate, and relax into a richness of being. There will be time to hike, soak, sleep, and eat well.

Tanya Woods is a certified yoga instructor. She teaches an intuitive flow based class in therapeutic principles. She is also an LMT, specializing in energy work that includes Reiki, Shamanism, craniosacral and healing through visualization.

Self-care is vital to our well-being as humans on this planet. Centering the resilience within, we will spend these four days learning through herbal wisdom, ritual, journaling, yoga, and meditation. We invite you to create spaciousness for the unfolding of your authentic expression of self. Come experience the power and beauty of connection to self, community, nature, and ancestors at this BIPOC-lead retreat.

Erika Davis is a Tacoma, WA-based birth worker and yoga instructor. Her work has historically centered the intersections of race, gender, and sexual orientation. When she’s not doing birth work, she can be found growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers in her front yard garden.

Patanjali de la Rocha is a parent, partera, and yoga & meditation instructor. Patanjali has spent the past decade studying alternative healing and traditional cultural practices globally. A queer multiracial Indigenous survivor, their background in mindfulness, meditation and yoga is rooted in healing ancestral trauma. Ayurvedic wisdom points us to nourishing the nervous system, particularly in the fall season. In this experiential workshop, we delve into mindful yoga practices to stabilize and nurture ourselves. Guided meditation is offered each morning. Morning yoga is a slow flowing practice using ayurvedic principles to balance the mind-body–the asanas sequentially moving through stability, trust and expansion. Evening yoga is a deeply relaxing practice using restorative yoga, yin yoga, pranayama and mindfulness of the senses. Afternoons are free to enjoy the beauty of Breitenbush. These practices cultivate resilience, calm and skillful connection. Appropriate for those with at least six months of yoga experience.

Ronly Blau, certified yoga instructor and ayurvedic practitioner, has taught yoga and meditation for two decades. Her deep joy is to offer space for spiritual connection, compassion and community. She is a graduate of the Mindful Yoga and Meditation Training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, studied extensively with Kathleen Hunt and Angela Farmer, and is coauthor of the Ayurveda health book, The Mindbody Cleanse.

This 2nd Degree Reiki Class is for those who want to dedicate themselves more deeply to the healing power of Reiki. Through the use of Reiki symbols, which form the central teaching piece in this class, there is an enhancement of the energy flow. In addition, the ability to do “distance treatments” is taught.

Frank teaches this class in the tradition of Reiki Shiki Ryoho with Phyllis Lei Furumoto as the current lineage bearer. If possible, bring some pictures to the class from your youth and of some people that have been important to you. Reiki practitioners of any lineage are welcome to this class but there needs to be a minimum time elapse of six months between Reiki I and Reiki II. There is no maximum time range.

Frank Coppieters, PhD, LMT #2385, taught at the graduate level for 13 years at the University of Antwerp in Belgium before he became a spiritual teacher, counselor and Reiki Master in 1989. He has a private practice in Raleigh Hills.

Join Adam and Suniti for a unique retreat where we deepen our ability to view and experience the body from the inside. Through the combined study of somatic meditations, movement improvisations, qigong and asana, we engage in a dialogue with sensation. We focus on embodying the centers of the pelvis, belly, heart and head. As our felt sense of each center develops, we encounter archetypal psychological and spiritual experiences. When opening to our interior we release held patterns of tension and make contact to the inherent wholeness that is always present within the body itself. This retreat is appropriate for anyone.

Suniti Dernovsek is a choreographer and movement educator. She has been a student of dance, yoga and Buddhism for 20 years. She brings her love of movement and her own understanding of practice into her teaching.

Adam Persinger is a practitioner of Rolfing Structural Integration, and a student of Vajrayana Buddhism, the Diamond Approach, yoga and qigong. All this has informed a unique approach into being curious in your body.

This workshop is focused on the inter-connectedness of all things and discovering how each of us can be an asset to this beautiful earth and all her inhabitants. Through the practices of yoga, chanting, meditation and journaling, we will tend to the incredible body-mind relationship and cultivate lovingkindness in our thoughts, words and actions. Seven well-rounded practices, amazing meals and hot springs under the stars offer a powerful setting for this transformative work. Proceeds will support Yoga and Animal Rights Alliance (YARA) and Sweethome’s own animal sanctuary.

Sweethome has studied yoga since 1993. She is the founder of the non-profit YARA, which links yoga retreats with animal sanctuaries around the world. She approaches the practice of yoga and life with devotion and awe. Her style is unique and dynamic, poetically blending vinyasa with yoga philosophy, chanting, pranayama and meditation. Her desire is to inspire all to experience life with compassion, patience and reverence.

Retreat into deeply experiencing peace and contentment. Mindfulness, purpose, intention/sankalpa and grace often result from the practices of yoga nidra and restorative yoga. Yoga nidra, or “psychic sleep,” will be taught within a series of energetically-aligned postures to maintain an optimal brain wave state for nidra while also opening and healing the body so that this deeply meditative practice can be comfortably sustained for an optimal experience. If meditation has been challenging for you in the past, these silent and guided meditation practices will resonate even deeper within you. Our time together will include four practices in restorative yoga/yoga nidra and a sankalpa/intention workshop. Paired with soaking in the natural beauty of Breitenbush, you will leave restored in clarity and presence.
