This playshop is open to lay people and massage therapists who want to learn to care for others using playful and deep techniques. Traditional Thai massage was created in India 2500 years ago by the physician to the Buddha as a form of loving kindness (metta). Learn how to perform a one-hour sequence on your loved ones and/or clients by applying the methods of stretching, compression, rhythm and joint mobilization.

Thai massage is performed on cushioned mats on the floor and recipients wear loose comfortable clothing. It is strongly encouraged that participants have some yoga or body awareness and have the ability to move around on their hands and knees. Price includes instructional manual and 15 CEUs.

Whether you wish to deepen your intimacy, or broaden your love skills, this weekend promises to be pleasurable, fun and life-enhancing. There is no explicit sexual content.

D’vorah Swarzman has studied and practiced the art and science of Traditional Thai massage since 1993, returning regularly to Thailand for continued training. She integrates her healing work with rhythm, improvisation, mindfulness and vipassana meditation. She honors her teachers as she practices these ancient healing and spiritual traditions.

frankcoppietersReiki is a form of natural healing that takes place through gentle, sacred touch. It restores health and harmony to the physical body, releases emotional blockages and activates a closer connection to spirit. Reiki works with the vibration of love and compassion and is an easy form of self-healing. Its recent origins have been traced back to Japan in the late 1800’s and the inspired work of Dr. Mikao Usui. The opening to this simple and mysterious universal life energy happens through a series of initiations and the practice of the form through various hand positions. Frank honors the oral tradition and Phyllis Furumoto as the lineage bearer. This is a First Degree Reiki class.

Frank Coppieters, PhD, Reiki Master, LMT #2385, taught at the graduate level for 13 years at the University of Antwerp in Belgium before he became a spiritual teacher, counselor and Reiki Master. He has a full-time private practice in Portland where he does Reiki, massage, shamanistic work and counseling.

Our first impulse with dreams is to try to “figure out” their meaning and to find answers to the questions that we have about the dream and our lives. Our questions are often about what “to do”, i.e.: How do I get rid of my anxiety? What should I do about my partner/kids/coworker/boss?

Our dreams do not offer answers. They want to teach us how to find our way – not to the answers we seek, but to deeper questions. They compel us to ask more questions, deeper questions about who we truly are and who we can become.

Join us for a week-long experience of delving into the realm of the dream. Exploring how to live the deeper questions raised by dreams.

Bill St.Cyr and Sue Scavo are Embodied Dreamwork Practitioners, with over 17 years of experience collaborating with dreamers and the dream. They have presented and facilitated over 75 workshops, retreats and conferences throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

“The Forest is the Therapist; The Guide Opens the Door”

This is a weekend for rest, self-care and crossing a threshold into the “liminal.” We’ll awaken our senses and slow way down, connecting with nature, ourselves and others in a new way. Facilitated “invitations” open our doors of perception to the forest, offering deep sensory connection and helping us notice where we are and what we feel. As we become fully present to ourselves, we witness the world around us with new eyes. Each forest bathing session is unique and includes sharing circles and tea ceremony. Sound healing with crystal singing bowls will offer mind/body relaxation and balance our subtle energy bodies allowing a playful flow of energy between forest, river, and ourselves.

Sari Telpner is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Health Educator and Reiki Master. She is passionate about the healing medicine of the forest and repairing the planet through deep nature connection.

Joy Evans, MSW (she/her) is a Level II Certified Sound Healer and Forest Therapy Guide. “Grounded in joy, moving with love, planting peace.”

The Path of Kirtan explores the ancient practices of kirtan and sacred sound. In this workshop, we’ll immerse ourselves in this luminous ocean through voice, mantra, devotion, movement, yoga and meditation to connect more deeply with the divine Presence. In many Eastern cultures, the practice of music is approached as a spiritual practice, as the yoga of sound, and that is how it will be presented in this workshop. From this foundation, the chanting of sacred names and mantras will flow with new depth and new freedom. This workshop is offered with the intention to cultivate more beauty, love and peace inside ourselves and in our world.

Heather and Benjy Wertheimer lead kirtan (sacred chanting) worldwide as the duo Shantala, with soul-stirring vocals, sacred lyrics and exquisite instrumentation. Together they create music with beauty, passion and reverence. Shantala has performed and recorded internationally with such sacred music luminaries as Krishna Das, Deva Premal and Miten, and Jai Uttal. With Elizabeth Rainey, certified yoga teacher, and Sean Frenette, master musician and vocal instructor.

Create new rhythms that foster an intimacy with nature. Examine your life and explore how you might increase the quantity and quality of your time outside. We may stargaze, tree-climb, lie in the grass, go barefoot in the river, make rock cairns and, of course, soak in pools. We will also study local ecology, share inspirational readings and find creative ways to express what we learn and observe while relaxing and healing our spirits in the regenerative Breitenbush environment.
