Essential Yoga: A Simple Practice for Busy Lives
Formerly known as "DharmaYoga", this annual retreat is a creative exploration of stillness, movement and meditation. It is at times rigorous and challenging yet deeply meditative. Morning sessions will focus on the dynamic and energizing vinyasa element, emphasizing detailed alignment and mindfulness in movement. Saturday evening's session will explore Yin yogaa quietly intense practice where poses are held for long periods of time, preparing one for deep meditation and restorative sleep. Both guided and silent meditation will be held. Every session will be infused with timeless Eastern wisdom and yoga teachings. It is recommended participants have recent and regular yoga experience in order to comfortably attend.
Uma Kleppinger has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 11 yearsweaving together the wisdom of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and Anusara yoga. Known for her clear, direct instruction and piercing but playful insightfulness, Uma encourages mindfulness in every moment. Her passionate interest in the intersection of rational mysticism, science, classical yoga and psychology informs her practice.
