The Healing Art of Yoga: Teacher Training and Immersion 

Unlock the healing potential of yoga with in-depth study of the philosophical foundations and yoga psychology, presented through the framework of a simple form of practice. Yin yoga is one of the simplest and most accessible forms of yoga practice—perfect for athletes, persons with chronic injuries, or anyone seeking to balance a stressful life. Excellent for serious students of yoga, meditators and teachers who wish to enrich their practice. Neurolinguisitic work, yoga therapeutics, Taoist yoga and peer-assisted practice teaching will be incorporated. Prerequisites apply for those seeking teacher-training credit including self-study work to be done in advance of the retreat. This program is open to anyone wishing to experience an in-depth yoga immersion, or contemplating teaching.

Uma Kleppinger is renowned for her clear, direct, inspirational method of teaching, and encourages a sense of depth and curiosity in practice. Her passionate interests in the intersection of mysticism, science, language, movement and psychology inform her teaching. An author, athletic coach, and yoga teacher, Uma lives in Portland, OR and teaches workshops and classes throughout North America.
